The bastion of accurate and hard hitting reporting that overflows with journalistic integrity otherwise known as The New York Post brings us this lovely tidbit about the great Miuccia Prada. Take it for what it's worth considering the source."EMPLOYEES in Prada's New York office must feel like they're in boot camp. A missive was sent to workers at the 51st Street headquarters the other day with a list of rules. An insider told Page Six the instructions came directly from Prada head Miuccia Prada, who is "hard-core" and "runs a tight ship." The e-mail declares: "Desk and work surfaces should be clean and uncluttered. Pictures, calendars, etc. should not be taped to cubicle/office walls. Pets may not be brought to the corporate office or the store. For corporate employees, all coats should be hung in the appropriate coatroom and not kept in offices or hung over cubicle walls. Window shades should be even (either completely up or completely down) throughout one side of the floor. Items may not be placed on the window sills ... In addition, it is important to take a break from your workday and enjoy your lunch. Therefore, absent extenuating circumstances, lunch may not be eaten at your desk." The memo ends with a warning that violators "may be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment."
Please let this be true. It's too much fun to see people become consumed with power, hubris and OCD simultaneously. Good times.
On a lighter note, pardon me while I run off to Paris tomorrow. I will only be there for about 24 hours so if anyone wants to recommend a good spot where I can get some really good macarons in or around Pigalle it would be greatly appreciated cause I'm all about cake (& macarons)....

Isabeli Fontana as Amy Winehouse
Isabeli Fontana does Amy Winehouse for the February Vogue Paris. Isabeli does a great Amy impression but the clothes are... a bit hard on the eyes, no?

Sessùn

Let's make today French Day. So.... Sessùn.... they're chic, they're easy, they're French, obviously.
I love the muted color palette and their mixing of feminine and masculine items is perfection.

The Editor's New Shoes

We all know that magazine editors have ridiculously nice wardrobes and especially shoes. How nice you ask?.... Nice! Real nice. Real real real real nice. What's a $2000 pair of Balenciagas when you have a clothing allowance and an expense account, right? Match the shoe to the editor at Jak & Jil but you've gotta know whose is rocking the Givenchys, don't you....

Fun with Polyvore
For more fun with Polyvore check out this thread on The Fashion Spot called the Polyvore Stylist Challenge which is a weekly challenge where you can put together an outfit using 1 predetermined garment. At the end of the week members vote on their favorite version and the winner gets to choose next week's piece and of course, gets to bask in the glory of winning. I wonder who could have won last week ;) ??
.... and if you haven't checked out Polyvore yet then do so, but just so you know, it's addictive!
